Mr. Jerry Erwin
Texas Instruments Incorporated
Equipment Group
13588 N. Central Exp.
Dallas, Texas 75231

Dear Mr. Erwin:

\J
We are pleased to accept your purchase order for one of our model
M.I.T. manipulators. Enclosed is our specification sheet for this arm. The
specifications you quoted in clause AA are similar, and may be close to the
measured specifications of the manipulator, but the specifications we are
prepared to guarantee are listed on the enclosed spec. sheet. We hope this
will meet with your approval.

Clause BB detailing the electronics is also not exactly what we
are prepared to deliver. Our specifications are similar, execpt that since you
have requested tachometers on all joints ,velocity is measured directly
rather than derived from the back EMF.In
addition, we normally deliver a built in power supply which allows the arm to
run on 115 vac,but the customer must supply his own potentiometer reference supply.
Some of these details are also covered in enclosed specification sheet.

Our delivery schedule for your order is July 30, 1974. This is the
best we can do at the present time. In the future, please contact us directly
for precise information on our products. We hope that these revised specifications
will be satisfactory to you, and will proceed under that assumption unless we
hear otherwise.\.
